COCO & KAT – CREATIVE DIRECTION FOR WEDDING VENUES & BEYOND
A modern day friendship, these two ladies met on Pinterest back in 2013. A shared love for beautiful weddings, stylish interiors and of course being wedding business-owners lead to their first meeting (over cocktails!) and inevitable collaboration. With Emma’s passion for branding & design coupled with Katrina’s talent for planning, they make a great partnership.
Their work has been published in several of the top bridal magazines and blogs, including Rock My Wedding, Love My Dress, Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, B.LOVED, Aisle Society, Perfect Wedding and You & Your Wedding. Coco & Kat was formed back in 2014 as a simple yet effective and rather catchy Instagram hashtag! Since then, and thanks to an ever growing number of styled shoots, consultation work, industry recognition (and even more cocktails!), the hashtag has certainly evolved. Coco & Kat was officially launched as a business within its own right due to their desire to form a more official collaborative partnership but most importantly to support others by sharing their combined passion, creative vision and respective expertise with fellow industry colleagues and business-owners looking for some professional guidance and support.
Coco & Kat will be talking about the commercial benefits of styled shoots and partnerships, sharing their unique insights into the benefits of forming collaborative partnerships, defining roles, managing expectations, the why’s, planning, submitting and working with blogs as well as giving takeaway tools to implement into your own business.

Tamryn is the wedding industry’s go-to girl and the smiling face behind Candid Apple, the company that provides words, in many forms, for some of the wedding world’s biggest names.
A total wedding junkie, Tamryn started out in the industry back in 2003 as a wedding planner. Several awards, plenty of TV and radio appearances, hundreds of magazine features and a couple of books later, she’d learned a thing or two about the power of words and the need to keep telling and retelling your story.
After stepping back from the wedding frontline, Candid Apple was born and Tamryn has worked on rebrands, launches, huge projects and smaller jobs bringing a wealth of wedding knowledge, honest advice and a fresh perspective to all.
You might know Tamryn from Love My Dress where she’s a senior features writer and member of the editorial team or you might know her as one of the bloggers for brands such as Glitzy Secrets. She also provides blogs and copy of all kinds for a variety of wedding businesses as well as working on PR for some truly outstanding companies from planners and boutiques to venues and super cool directories. ‘Mrs. Apple’ to her friends, she’s stepping away from her keyboard for a day out at The Hub and she can’t wait!
Tamryn will be talking about storytelling and how your choice and use of words can have a huge impact on your business. From attracting the clients that you want and keeping your voice authentic to choosing what to talk about and even blowing your own trumpet, she’ll explain how the stories we tell and the way we tell them are so important in the wedding world, both online and face to face.

Anna is an Oxford educated intellectual property lawyer who has worked more hours in the City than she cares to count, advising clients – from start-ups to international spirit brands – on how to nurture and protect their business. She also happens to know the wedding industry personally, having run her own little wedding enterprise these past few years while raising her two little darlings.
Feeling inspired following the last incredible Hub event she has returned to her legal roots to bust the myth that all lawyers are grey-haired poker-faced men of a certain age who know nothing of the industry – they aren’t – some even love glitter and peonies more than you !
Rather worryingly, conversations with too many of her industry peers all reflected the same issue… a complete and utter ignorance of all things legal. So she’s made it her mission to make sure you have the legal stuff covered. Anna offers straight-talking, clear and practical advice on what she likes to term “the legal elephant in the room” – let’s all get talking to the elephant, so we can focus on the fun stuff.
Her session is all about building a solid legal foundation for your business; covering aspects such as brand protection with some key contractual pointers.

Having spent ten years working as a brand strategist across the business and charity sector, Olivia launched Patchwork Present months ago after struggling to find a gift list that felt right for her own wedding.
In case you haven’t heard of Patchwork yet, it’s a site that lets couples share one much-wanted gift idea with their wedding guests so that friends can come together to collectively fund that new sofa/work of art/vintage caravan/honeymoon - piece by piece.
Olivia says the principle behind Patchwork is to help make giving more collective, creative and resourceful so we can stop showing our love for each other by buying stuff we don’t need and keep unwanted gifts out of landfill.
18 months since launch and Patchwork Present has thousands of super cool and creative couples using the site and has had amazing press across the wedding, lifestyle and travel media – including being acknowledged as the Gift List Innovators in the launch issue of Elle Wedding, awarded Best Gift List by Brides magazine, recommended in Perfect Wedding, You and Your Wedding and Wedding Ideas Magazine.
Olivia’s session is all about brand-building on a shoe-string budget and is going to focus in particular on generating PR without spending a single penny.
Ps. Our first fair was Chosen which is where we found our first lovely couples so thank you!
